It basically has a cult following in Miami. Ask anyone in the 305 about the jugofresh, the organic cold-pressed juice and food company that originated in Miami in 2012, and no doubt a chorus of “mmmmm’s” will be audible.
It only made sense to bring the popular, good-for-you brand north to Fort Lauderdale, which welcomed its first Broward County spot in August, inside the Whole Foods Market off Federal Highway. And for those who can’t get enough of the juices, smoothies and vegan foods (all of which are made daily), there’s good news: five more jugofreshes are set to open in five other Whole Food Market locations in the next 5 months!
The company’s rapid expansion is largely due to the way South Florida as a community has embraced it. Events like “yoga del barrio”–a complimentary monthly yoga class lead by top teachers, which is now a fixture in both Wynwood, Coral Gables and North Miami (with it to debut in Fort Lauderdale shortly). Cheers to healthy drinking, eating and moving!
