Lona will change everything you know about Mexican food. Opened since December at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, Lona (Spanish for “canvas”) is celebrated Mexican chef Pablo Salas’ newest eatery, offering eclectic, soulful interpretations of dishes from his childhood. The restaurant’s chic yet funky environment is complete with an indoor-outdoor bar, tequila tasting room and cocktail menu by Employees Only alum Dushan Zaric. As Salas says, “The location is right on the water and I think the coastal vibe, the food I’m envisioning and the drinks Dushan is creating are going to make for a magical spot unlike anything else in town.”
