FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – HANDY/H.O.M.E.S., Inc. share a mission of providing quality community and economic development for at-promise/disadvantaged lower-income youth, residents, and neighborhoods throughout Broward County. HANDY/H.O.M.E.S., Inc. hosted their 6th Annual Homecoming on Saturday, September 10th, presented by Hypower, at The Venue in Wilton Manors. Attendees relived their high school memories as they danced the night away while enjoying entertainment, music, silent auctions, horse d’oeuvres, food stations and specialty cocktails at the adult-only soirée.
The event, which raised over $130,000, supported HANDY / H.O.M.E.S., Inc.’s Scholars Program, which transforms the lives of at-promise youth and their post-secondary education journey.
Active members of the local community who were nominated to the 2022 Homecoming Court raised over $75,000 to support the HANDY/ H.O.M.E.S., Inc. mission through their individual campaigns. Julie Blackmore – Holland & Knight and Jeremy Dover – Demesmin and Dover, who raised the most funds, were crowned the Homecoming King and Queen during the event.
