Venice magazine and ETARU Japanese Grill & Bar Las Olas celebrated the opening of the acclaimed Japanese restaurant’s second South Florida location at The Related Group’s brand new ultra-luxury rental Icon Las Olas. DJ Nuny Love supplied the vibes to a packed house, and taiko drummers struck a strong chord with the crowd. To ensure good luck for the new venue, ETARU co-founder Rainer Becker and executive group corporate chef Hamish Brown led a sake barrel breaking ceremony, providing a celebratory taste to all in attendance. Guests enjoyed cocktails, including a Suntory Toki Whisky on tap station, wine, sake and Louis Roederer Champagne, and previewed ETARU’s menu with dishes including tuna tataki with apple and wasabi, lamb chops with Korean spices, beef and ginger dumplings, black cod skewers, assorted maki and much more.
